Unissia Huang – Ottawa

Unissia Huang, a Guzheng(or Zheng)performer and composer original from China. She started learning Guzheng and Piano at a very young age, In 2007 she graduated from Sichuan Conservatory with a Bachelor of Arts in Performance. Unissia Huang has won a number of awards in different music competitions and performed on stages across the world including China, Canada, Australia, South Korea and Taiwan. Clarity and elegance emerge from Unissia Huang's play, her beautiful and sensitive touch on the strings, create abundant articulations and colours in her music. The depth and the authenticity of her music transport the audience through a large spectrum of emotions. Since 2011 Unissia immigrated to Canada, she dedicated herself to promoting Guzheng music and composing with Asian music element. By listening to her compositions you can find the great combination of Eastern and Western cultures.
