About the Event
Renowned for showcasing world-class talent across a range of genres, primarily jazz, the Ottawa Jazz Festival is set to celebrate its 45th anniversary from June 20 to 29, featuring a rich lineup of Canadian and international artists. As one of Canada’s premier jazz events, it has become a cherished summer tradition, offering both ticketed and free performances across multiple venues, all set against the stunning backdrop of downtown Ottawa. 7:30 PM – Kombilesa Mi (OLG Stage) – Hailing from San Basilio de Palenque, Colombia—the first free Black town in the Americas—Kombilesa Mi fuses Afro-Colombian rhythms with rap in both Spanish and the endangered creole language of Palenquero.
