About the artists:

*Victor Anastacio* Coming directly from Brazil Graduated in Classical Guitar by the well known Music Conservatory in Brazil called "Dr. Carlos de Campos de Tatuí". He has worked teaching Classical and Electric guitar since 2008 in a few schools in Brazil working as well with his band gigging around his town of Sorocaba. As a private teacher, he teaches all aspects of music and the instrument, as well as the importance of music to society.

*Yutong Huang* Unissia Huang, a Guzheng(or Zheng)performer and composer originally from China. She started learning Guzheng and Piano at a very young age, In 2007 she graduated from Sichuan Conservatory with a Bachelor of Arts in Performance. Since 2011 Unissia immigrated to Canada, she dedicated herself to promoting Guzheng music and composing with Asian music elements. By listening to her compositions you can find the great combination of Eastern and Western cultures.

*Edra Silva* Edra Silva is a Chilean singer, composer and guitarist. She sings in three languages and her music is strongly influenced by jazz, Pop and South American folk music. Her first EP "Intro" released in 2018, is a jazz duo record, and her second album, "Unrequited Hearts" (LP 2020), is a new-jazz-experimental work composed mostly of original compositions.

*Claudia Salguero* Claudia Salguero is a Colombian-Canadian professional multidisciplinary and Community Engaged Artist working with multicultural groups in communities at risk. Working in collaboration with different Social Institutions, she has created more than 40 community murals in the City since 2014. She was awarded by The Ottawa Arts Council with the 2021 Peter Honeywell Mid-Career Artist Award, recognizing and encouraging the achievements of Ottawa artists of all disciplines who have evolved beyond the emerging stage in their career to become recognized professional working artists contributing to the community Claudia is also a Latin Folk and Jazz singer as well as a member of the Arts Network Ottawa’s Board of Directors.

*Miguel de Armas Quartet* Internationally- renowned Cuban pianist Miguel de Armas moved to Canada in 2011, bringing with him a rich and sophisticated musical heritage gleaned over many years of study, performance, and composition. Under the leadership of Miguel and featuring Marc Decho on bass, Michel Medrano on drums and Diomer González on congas, The Miguel de Armas Quartet was created in 2012; since then, it has rocked the National Capital Region with its astounding musicianship and thrilling fusion of Jazz and Afro Cuban music. This band has demonstrated masterful, independent yet collaborative playing, with articulate, impassioned, and powerful synchronicity. An uplifting, dynamic presence on stage, the Miguel de Armas Quartet brings energy, joy, and enthusiasm to audiences everywhere.

*Ishaka Cultural Group* Ishaka Cultural Group was founded in Ottawa in 2007 by a group of young women originally from Burundi. The word Ishaka means ‘Will”. The will to make a difference in the world, the will to be good citizens and great leaders in all activities in which the members will be involved. The group shares a message of peace through the grace and elegance of dance. The dancers strive to be role models in the community and they teach the young ones to strive for the same. Ishaka is proud to represent Burundi and be able to help people in need through their shows in Ottawa. They take the audience on a voyage to the heart of Africa. And for the children, they are the bridge between Canada and Burundi, the bridge between their new country and their roots.
